 (Dhaka) 31^st October 2023: Tagore University of Creative Arts (TUCA) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Syed Mohammad Shahed has been reappointed by the honorable President of Bangladesh who is the Chancellor of the university.

A gazette notification issued by the Education Ministry on October 26 in these regard. A retired Professor of Department of Bangla at the University of Dhaka, Dr Syed Mohammad Shahed has also served as Director General of Bangla Academy. After obtaining PhD degree from University of Dhaka, he was a visiting fellow at Nagoya University, Japan. In 2018, he was awarded the Jibanananda-Vumenda Guha Research Award for the book ‘Natun Charyapada' and he received the Bangla Academy Literary Award for research in 2019. Dr. Shahed served as Trustee of Bangladesh National Museum, Member of UNESCO National Commission, Secretary-General of United Nations Association of Bangladesh (UNAB).
